This is the least romantic part of the work and the part that decides whether the rest happens. Cement, timber, steel, a window frame, a washing machine, a vehicle to carry students and supplies.
Some of these are priced by the unit and some are open — give the cost of a sack or the cost of a room, whichever you intend.
